For the Love of Beard The Dixie Warden Rejects MC Book 7 edition by Lani Lynn Vale Romance eBooks
I adore Lani Lynn Vale and all of her books, but this series—the Dixie Wardens Rejects—has quickly become my favorite of hers. I’ve honestly loved each and every single book, and while I’m completely fulfilled and pleased with how the series concluded, I’m also sorry to see it end. You could just tell from her writing, the ease with which these stories seemed to be told, that Vale herself enjoyed this series as well. I don’t think I’m alone in the hope that she revisits the Dixie Wardens in the future, so fingers crossed that we get more at some point!Audrey had some seriously painful demons to overcome before she could fully commit herself to a relationship with Tobias. But she didn’t let that stop her from pursuing a friendship with him, which is exactly where this couple began. Full of sass, funny as heck and one of the strongest heroines Vale has ever written, Audrey was done living under the cloud of her traumatic past. I was in awe of this character who, despite her fears, saw her future with Tobias, allowed herself to trust in the safety she felt with him and took the steps to move toward that future with him.
An Alabama Highway Patrol officer and a member of the Alabama chapter of the Dixie Wardens MC, Tobias was immediately smitten with Audrey. But Fender, as he was known to his MC brothers, knew all about her history, and he played it smart by taking it slow and following her lead. The gentle way that he handled her, without an ounce of pity, made this hero particularly endearing to me. They may have started out as friends, but there was always an attraction simmering between them, and when they finally did come together, it was incredibly hot. I loved this couple so much, and they’re one of my favorite Dixie Wardens couples. Playful, sexy and sweet, this pairing was one of Vale’s best yet.
For the Love of Beard really was a perfect ending to the series. It flawlessly capped off a series that started out strong and only got better with each successive release. After the highly suspenseful lead-in and drama of the previous book, Beard Up, Tobias and Audrey’s story was a bit of a softer landing and just the thing that Vale’s readers needed to ease themselves out of Alabama. Cover-to-cover, this book was an absolute pleasure to read. Lani Lynn Vale’s For the Love of Beard gets five smooches from me!

For the Love of Beard The Dixie Warden Rejects MC Book 7 edition by Lani Lynn Vale Romance eBooks Reviews
I absolutely enjoyed reading this book. Tobias and Audrey meet in the previous book when Toby is tasked with bringing Audrey to her brother. After a rough number of years following a sexual assault, Audrey is barely living and is a shell of her former self. With the burgeoning friendship with Toby, it eventually leads to more. I loved Audrey and Toby together. They were the perfect balance for each other and really started out as friends who eventually fell for one another. Toby was able to help Audrey become less afraid and more comfortable around people. I loved their time away from their friends and family where they were able to be themselves. This book focused more on the love story of Tobias and Audrey, although there was the usual suspense and action involved too. If you've been wondering about this couple, then don't hesitate to read their story. Although this is a standalone, I would strongly suggest reading the book before this one, Beard Up, as this is when Audrey and Toby first meet and their story really begins.
I loved Tobias and Audrey. Their story is a bit different than the some of the others, but don’t worry, you won’t be disappointed.
Tobias has such a kind heart. He didn’t want to have feeling for Audrey because she is Tunnel’s sister and because she has been through terrible things in her past, but he does. He only wants what is best for her and doesn’t want to push her too far into a relationship but as the story continues, his feelings grow. Will she feel that same way? Will he be to scared to ever try anything with her?
Audrey is extremely strong. After what she went though, she is doing remarkable, even if she is still very nervous around men, but that is understandable. After finally having Tunnel back in her life, Audrey feels like life is finally going good again.
When Tobias comes into her life, she feels comfortable around a man for the first time in forever, and that scares her. She doesn’t want to let her guard down but she knows that Tobias won’t hurt her. Will she be able to let him in or will she end up pushing him away?
One thing I love about Lani’s books is that old characters make appearances. This just makes my heart happy.
Overall, I really enjoyed this book. It’s a bit different than some of the others but I think the story is deeper. I think it can connect to the readers in a different way than the other books did.
Tobias' job was to pick up Audrey and move her to her brother's away from her parents. He didn't expect this victim of rape to have such a sharp mouth. He sure didn't expect to like it and her so much. She was skittish. Yet that other side, maybe the side from before, was smart, sassy, and hot as sin. He wanted to bring it out. Of course, he couldn't touch her or her brother would kill him.
Audrey was tired of hiding. Tired of only half living. Maybe, just maybe this man, Hiway Patrol officer, MC member with her brother, and someone who didn't treat her like she'd break. She wasn't afraid with him around.
This is a story of successes. Of living life. Of finding a way to put the past behind and find a future neither expected. Each of them gives of themselves to the community, a nurse, and a cop. The man who blames himself for tragedies of the past the woman who thinks she too weak to live her life. Watching them find ways to bring the other happiness with teasing and eventually sexually is fun, sometimes emotional, and often funny. Just when it seems there may be a future the past raises that ugly dangerous head. Will they live to enjoy that freedom they have fought so hard to win?
Make sure you note the fashionista side of Audrey at the end of the story. Don't miss this one even if you haven't read the rest of the series. It stands alone, although you may want more. A strong recommend from me.
